The PRV30 pressure reducing valve from Valfonta is a direct-acting device, self-regulated and piston balanced. It is designed to provide a constant and accurate outlet pressure, effectively absorbing any fluctuations that may occur in the inlet pressure.
This model stands out for being manufactured entirely in AISI 316L stainless steel (body, cap and internals), making it the ideal solution for demanding applications such as chemical laboratories, sanitary plants, water distribution systems and compressed air. Its compact and robust design allows for installation in any position, as its internal configuration ensures effective fluid circulation regardless of orientation. Furthermore, it is a valve that requires no maintenance.

-
Compatible Fluids: Suitable for group 2 liquids and gases (compressed air, water, inert gases, etc.).
The PRV30 model operates through a direct acting system. The fluid enters the valve and the inlet pressure tends to close it due to the difference in sections. Regulation is achieved by balancing forces:
-
Opening: When compressing the adjustment spring using the top screw, force is exerted on the piston to open the valve and allow fluid passage.
-
Regulation and closing: The outlet pressure acts on the piston against the spring. When the downstream pressure reaches the set value, the valve balances. If the outlet pressure exceeds the set value, the valve closes tightly.
-
Stability: Even when consumption is zero (downstream valves closed), the PRV30 absorbs fluctuations and keeps the static pressure stable.
To ensure optimal performance and warranty validity, please follow these guidelines:
-
Mounting Position: Although installation on a horizontal pipe is recommended, its design allows mounting in any position (vertical or upside down) without affecting operation.
-
Filtration: It is highly recommended to install a strainer filter upstream to protect the piston and seal from impurities that could damage tightness.
-
Safety Valve: It is advised to install a relief or safety valve at a distance between 0.5 and 1 meter from the reducer’s outlet to ensure proper compensation.
-
Adjustment: The regulation is performed with an 8 mm Allen key. Turn the screw clockwise (compressing the spring) to increase the outlet pressure, and counterclockwise to decrease it.
