The Valfonta 280 liquid reheater is a steam jet injector designed to heat liquids in pipelines (in-line installation). It operates based on the direct and uniform mixing of steam with the process fluid.
As it lacks moving parts, this equipment ensures quiet operation, free of vibration, and with zero maintenance. In addition to increasing temperature, it achieves a rise in outlet liquid pressure, simultaneously acting as both a heating and boosting element.
- Flow Range: Mixing capacity from 1,500 l/h to 30,000 l/h (depending on size).
- Pressure and Temperature: PN16 design, suitable for operation with a maximum pressure of 16 barg and temperatures up to 200°C.
- Body Materials: Available in three standard materials to suit the fluid:
- Nodular Iron (GGG40.3) - Standard.
- Bronze (RG10).
- Stainless Steel (A351 CF3M).
- Nozzle Materials: Standard Bronze (RG10), Stainless Steel (CF3M), or Monel for higher chemical resistance.
- Connections: Standard construction with DIN PN16 flanges.
Steam is injected through the top flange and flows through small inclined orifices located in the nozzle. This generates high-speed steam jets that propel the liquid into a low-pressure area, creating controlled turbulence.
Thanks to this hydrodynamic effect, the liquid and steam mix evenly, achieving an immediate temperature increase and, at the same time, a boost in discharge pressure of the fluid at the equipment outlet.
- Installation: Mounted directly in-line with the liquid pipeline to be heated, simplifying installation.
- Applications: Ideal for instant production of hot water for washing tanks, barrels, and drums, as well as for installation in pipelines prone to frost or freezing.
- Industries: Widely used in breweries, sugar mills, dye factories, and the chemical industry.
- Performance: Standard calculations are based on saturated steam at 4 bar and liquid to be heated at 1 bar (temperature rise from 15°C to 65-75°C).
