The JAS Model Safety Valve from Valfonta is a protection device against overpressure with full instant opening (A.I.T.). It has been designed to safeguard the integrity of tanks, boilers, and pipes, automatically detecting any excess pressure and discharging the surplus fluid without the need for auxiliary energy.
It is a compact and efficient solution, made of brass with a Viton seal, ideal for low and medium pressure installations. Its design incorporates a guided discharge system, which allows the fluid to be safely channeled to an appropriate location, avoiding risks in the work environment. Once normal operating pressure is restored, the valve closes automatically, ensuring tightness.
- Opening Type: Full Instant Opening (A.I.T.).
- Materials: Body constructed of Brass with Viton seal (shutter).
- Working Conditions:
- Maximum Pressure: PN16.
- Maximum Temperature: 180°C.
- Compatible Fluids: Suitable for working with liquids, compressed air, inert gases, and steam.
- Connections:
- Inlet: Male BSP Thread.
- Outlet: Female BSP Thread.
- Dimensional Range: Available in sizes 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" and 3/4".
The valve operates autonomously. Each unit is tested on a bench simulating service conditions and is supplied calibrated to the pressure requested by the customer.
- Two versions are available depending on the need for manual operation:
- Figure 310: Model equipped with a lever, allowing manual test purges.
- Figure 311: Hermetic model, without manual operating mechanism.
To adapt to more demanding conditions or specific regulations, the JAS valve offers the following options on request:
- Springs: Possibility to assemble Stainless Steel (AISI 302/316) springs for increased corrosion resistance.
- Connections: Supplied with NPT thread.
- Certification: Availability of material, heat, and performance certificates.
