For example, the <a href=\"\/en\/product\/pressure-reducing-valve-prv30\/\">PRV30 reducing valve<\/a> (DN15 to DN25, PN25, Group 2 fluids) falls under Article 4.3 and does not require CE marking.<\/p><\/section><section id=\"atex\" class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Valves for explosive atmospheres (ATEX)<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Directive 2014\/34\/EU governs equipment installed in areas where an explosive atmosphere may occur. Valfonta\u2019s technical file is held in custody by the Laboratorio Oficial J. M. Madariaga (LOM), notified body No. 0163. The latest supplement, from 2023, covers the marking <strong>2G-Ex h IIC TX \u00b0C Gb \/ 2D-Ex h IIIC TX \u00b0C Db<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The manuals for the reducing valves and excess pressure valves state the II 2 GD marking: suitable for zones 1 and 2 (flammable gases, vapors, and liquids) and zones 21 and 22 (combustible dust), within the temperature class corresponding to the fluid temperature. Each product page indicates whether the model is available in an ATEX version. More information in <a href=\"\/en\/blog\/atex-valves\/\">ATEX valves: what the regulations require<\/a>.<\/p><\/section><section id=\"preguntas\" class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions about certificates<\/h2><div class=\"wp-block-group vf-faqgrp is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Which Valfonta valves carry CE marking?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those that, by size, pressure, and fluid, fall into a risk category under Directive 2014\/68\/EU. Those included in the technical annex of the Module D1 certificate (M1, M2, VD, S1, S2, S3, S4, and C1 in the sizes indicated) are manufactured under that certificate. Smaller ones, such as the PRV30, may fall under Article 4.3 and do not carry CE marking: the datasheet for each model indicates this.<\/p><\/div><\/details><details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Can I install the valves in an ATEX zone?<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, for models with an ATEX version. The manuals for reducing valves and excess pressure valves state the II 2 GD marking for zones 1 and 21 (and 2 and 22).
